A bit of History for you to enjoy.  In the year 1713, The poem called Apple Pye, by William King, an English poet appeared in the pamphlet called The Northern Atlantis
Of all the delicates which Britons try
To please the palate of delight the eye.
Of all the several kings of sumptuous far
There is none that can with apple pie compare.
And so it is true today, there is none that can compare.
 
We use Granny Smith Tart Apples for all of our pies with a cinnamon and sugar crumble on top.
